Council delays HYL basketball contract renewal, directs staff to negotiate with league

Council agreed to postpone final approval and directed staff to return information and a recommendation before the Oct. 1 contract deadline so the item can be decided in time.
No vote to approve the contract was taken; council reached consensus to seek further negotiation and review operational data in a future workshop.
