Mount Carroll council approves $253,869 in payments, hires lifeguards and OKs $250,000 CD

The council also approved Resolution R6-2026 to place $250,000 into a 10-month Certificate of Deposit at 4.0% with Fidelity Bank, a motion made by Alderman Jeff Elliott and seconded by Alderman Kaczmarski. The minutes record the resolution title verbatim: "Resolution Authorizing Establishment of a $250,000.00 10-month Certificate of Deposit at 4.0% at Fidelity Bank from Enterprise Account." The roll call votes for these actions were recorded as six yes votes and zero no votes.
