On May 12, the Mount Carroll City Council approved a resolution-style motion declaring a long list of municipal equipment surplus. Items recorded in the minutes include two Grasshopper mower decks (2002 and 2017), a 9-foot Bonnell snow plow, loader bucket forks, a 1979 Elgin street sweeper, a Ford F Super Duty boom truck, a Miller arc welder/generator, a riding lawn mower cab, a Beuthling B-50 1-ton asphalt roller, pool cover reel and a 2005 White Outdoor riding lawn mower with 46" deck.
Alderman Jeff Elliott moved to approve the surplus list and Alderman Paul Kaczmarski seconded; the roll-call vote was 4 yes, 2 absent. The minutes do not record subsequent disposition plans (sale, auction, transfer) in detail.
