The Berkeley County Planning Commission on July 20 accepted staff recommendations to advertise public hearings on Aug. 17 for two detailed site plans: a proposed 3,800-square-foot Grant County Bank at Corporate Boulevard and Williamsport Pike, and Stonecrest Parcel A within the Stonecrest PUD, proposing a 9,000-square-foot retail store and a 9,000-square-foot urgent care.
For the bank site, Commissioner Mike Bush asked whether drive-through queuing and customer vehicle lights could affect adjacent homes. Applicant representative Tim Stowe said surrounding grade is approximately 25 feet higher than residential properties and that landscaping will be used to buffer light and queuing impacts. The commission approved advertising public hearings for both projects.
