The Berkeley County Planning Commission approved the Preliminary Plan for the Rutherford Lane Development, a proposal for six apartment buildings totaling 48 units on 2.83 acres along Winchester Avenue (US Rt. 11). Staff presented the application and Dan Murphy represented the developer.
Commissioner John Hardy confirmed the revised plan addressed the earlier waiver denial and the commission voted unanimously to approve the Preliminary Plan. The approval advances the project to later stages of review where detailed site plan and technical requirements will be considered.
