Planning commission approves Bridle Creek Phase 7 final plat with $1.23 million surety

The Berkeley County Planning Commission on July 20 approved the final plat for Bridle Creek, Phase 7 — 60 townhome lots on 12.44 acres along the east side of Barrel Race Road. Staff said the development will be served by public water and sewer and the approval is contingent on receipt of a surety bond.
Monique Boots read the project description and notes; developer representative Steve Cvijanovich was present. The commission approved the plat contingent upon "receipt of surety in the amount of $1,231,800.00," and the plat will be released once that surety is received. The motion to close the public hearing was made by Eric Goff and the motion to approve the final plat was made by Mike Bush and seconded by Eric Goff; the motions carried unanimously.
The approval establishes the subdivision layout but does not authorize construction until conditions in the subdivision regulations and the surety requirement are met. The commission recorded no public objections during the hearing.
