Public commenters urge action on landlord issues, backyard chickens and recycling site

Shannon Sharman, a registered dietitian, told the council eggs are an affordable nutrient-dense food and urged reasonable coop standards and sanitation requirements.
John Rose, Boone County Landfill and Recycling Administrator, described the high cost of the current rented drop-off site for recycling at 11th and Division and asked the city to consider providing a permanent site (for example the 9th Street city parking lot) or a county/city partnership to reduce rental costs and improve service.
