Selectboard fills multiple appointments; some vacancies tabled

The Montgomery Selectboard approved a broad slate of appointments on March 16, 2026. Dennis Himes was appointed to a three-year Water Commission term and Chris Dixon-Boles to a two-year Water Commission term; the Budget Committee slate (Charlie Hancock, Mark Brouillette, Chris Dixon-Boles, Erin Walsh, Tosca Smith) was also approved 5-0.
Greg Lucas was appointed Director of Disaster/EMS Management and Doug Kopcz was appointed Deputy Director; multiple one-year and multi-year committee appointments (inspectors, tree warden, weigher of coal, recreation board, conservation commission, community garden board) were approved unanimously. The board tabled several items including a Development Review Board alternate, Animal Control Officer, NW Solid Waste District representative, NW CUD rep, some Town Hall Committee seats, and MRBA representation.
