Joe Thomas presented the Board of Bids and Contracts report from its Feb. 6, 2025 meeting and recommended the county accept a vendor proposal for firefighting and rescue equipment. "The recommendation is to accept the proposal from Delta Fire and Safety Incorporated, and we're establishing contract pricing at the rates listed for a period of 2 years with 2 1 year options to renew," Thomas said.
Chairman Beatty moved to approve the board of bids and contracts report for 02/06/2025. The motion was seconded and approved on a roll call; commissioners recorded their votes as "Aye." Thomas emphasized the action taken by the fire-district governing body was to establish contract purchasing rates only and that no further action was required at this time. The equipment named in Thomas's presentation included structural firefighting turnout gear and multipurpose rescue, extrication and wildland gear. The contract term presented was two years with two one-year renewal options and pricing established for that period.
