Kip Potter and Joan Hildreth summarized a February 23 meeting about a proposed flood-resilience project for Town Land, saying FCNRCD staff, SLR engineers, a VTrans representative and local stakeholders attended to discuss proposed steps, funding and a tentative timeline. Members agreed FCNRCD staff will present the proposal to the Selectboard at its April 6, 2026 meeting.
The report noted that the meeting reviewed possible project steps and funding sources and that additional information is being sought from partners including the Vermont River Conservancy. The commission recorded that staff from FCNRCD plan to attend the April 6 Selectboard meeting to answer questions and engage in discussion.
