Committee begins annual officer elections; secretary seat vacant

At the opening of the Strategic Partnership Grants Committee meeting, the Chair opened the session and announced the first item of new business: the election of officers for the coming fiscal year. A staff member said, “It is that time of year where at the start of the new fiscal year, we typically elect officers,” and reminded members that current officers remain in place until new officers are elected.

Committee discussion focused on filling a vacant secretary seat. The Clerk reported that “Ray is the chair, Anna is the vice chair, and the secretary would be currently vacant because it was Liz,” identifying the current slate and the open position. Later, a committee member put themselves forward: “I'm I'm happy to throw my name in the hat as secretary.” No formal vote was taken during this meeting; members agreed to continue nominations and to schedule action at a future forum.
