Residents press village on parking-lot repairs, permit parking and landscaping noise

Several residents brought infrastructure and quality-of-life concerns to the July 13 meeting. Irene Redlus raised safety concerns about large potholes in Cedarhurst Parking Lot #1; trustees said repairs have been made and the village plans to redo the entire lot.
Shaya Harari, owner of Uncle Mochi, asked that permit parking be added to Cedarhurst Parking Lot #9, saying "As a store owner it is very difficult to find parking, especially if he must run in and out throughout the day." Mayor Benjamin Weinstock said the village will conduct a traffic study around the lot and will take the request under advisement; staff noted a permit option exists for meter lots as an interim measure.
Separately, Nirit Jasse complained about noise from landscapers and their equipment; Trustee Eric G. Brown advised that landscapers are not permitted to work on Saturdays or Sundays and asked that violations be reported to Village Hall.
