Robin Allen summarized recent community-health activity for the committee, including disease follow-up and outreach plans.
Allen said two animal bites were reported but did not require rabies treatment. On Hepatitis C, she reported that seven cases had been initially reported but, after investigation, "only 2 of the 7 cases were real cases." Allen also said an Iroquois County resident is part of a new tuberculosis case; no additional clinical details or public‑health orders were described during the meeting.
Outreach activities Allen listed included participation at the Iroquois West High School career fair and a Lyons health fair, a Safe Sitter course scheduled March 24–25 for sixth–eighth grade students, and an after‑hours vaccine clinic on March 14, 2026. She added that Senior Services will host another Bingo event this summer and that 208 seniors are currently enrolled in ICPHD senior services.
