Board approves Phase 1 sanitary master study with Baxter & Woodman for up to $74,900

The Village of West Dundee authorized a Phase 1 sanitary master study to identify inflow and infiltration issues in the collection system.
Staff described the scope: inspectors will check manholes, capture 360‑degree video of mains, create GPS‑referenced section markers to guide televising, and plan smoke testing and lining in later phases. "They're gonna inspect all the main holes and create GPS kind of bridal, kinda like the water model, so where we can map the sections between those," staff said, summarizing the proposed approach.
Trustees voted to approve a contract with Baxter & Woodman for Phase 1 at a cost not to exceed $74,900. The study is intended to identify cracks, illicit connections and other sources of extraneous flow so the village can prioritize repairs and future lining work.
