An initial motion to approve the task order failed for lack of a second; the board then voted unanimously to bid the work out (motion by Commissioner Land; second by Commissioner Fleming).
Staff said the design and engineering work is necessary to meet grant deliverable schedules but will return with procurement documents. The board recorded the funding impact as $865,000 to be paid from grant LPA0690; staff noted construction cost estimates put the full project near $5.3 million.
