Jerseyville adopts updated building-permit fee schedule after 20 years

The Jerseyville City Council voted Dec. 23 to adopt an ordinance amending Title 10 of the Jerseyville City Code to update building permit and inspection fees. Commissioner Anthony Steckel moved the ordinance and Commissioner Jennifer Graklanoff seconded; council members voted unanimously to adopt the change.
Director of Building and Zoning Russell told the council the "fees schedule has not been updated in over 20 years" and that the new schedule "will coincide with what the County charges." The ordinance replaces the prior schedule and is intended to bring local fees in line with county standards; specific fee amounts were not listed in the meeting minutes.
