Council approves ARPA-funded upgrades including $171,064 water-meter project and $22,490 fencing at wells

Town Administrator Erin Braband told the council that only one bid was received for the townwide water meter and radio-read upgrade: LB Water at $171,064.35. Commissioner Michael Sullivan moved to award the project to LB Water; Commissioner Rose Potter seconded and the council approved the award unanimously.
Braband also presented bids for security fencing around well houses and the water tower. The council awarded the project to Chesapeake Fence for $22,490 to enclose Well 4, Well 6 and the water tower together and to enclose Well 5 separately. For sewer cleaning and camera inspection, Livingston Septic submitted a bid of $4,560 per day with an estimated 7–10 business days (maximum $45,600); the council voted to award that work contingent on contract revisions to be approved by Town Attorney Lyndsey Ryan. The council additionally approved a $1,945.31 ARPA purchase of office furniture for the water/wastewater department and directed staff to get further quotes on a street sweeper and an updated Lakeview Park mulch quote.
