As read by the city secretary, Resolution 20 26 1 26 directs the council to "adopt a chapter 380 incentive policy consistent with chapter 380 of the Texas local government code and authorize the Pasadena Economic Development Corporation to administer economic development incentive programs." Councilman Fuschler moved the resolution and Councilwoman Valerio seconded; the motion carried by voice vote.
Council and a Pasadena Chamber representative noted the policy is intended to provide tools to attract investment and encourage business growth. The resolution puts the EDC in a formal administering role for incentive agreements outlined by the policy.
