Trappe adopts Resolution 4-2024 to join Stories of the Chesapeake Heritage Area

On Aug. 7 the Town of Trappe Council unanimously adopted Resolution 4-2024, amending the town’s 2020 Comprehensive Plan to incorporate the Stories of the Chesapeake Heritage Area Management Plan and thereby include Trappe in that regional heritage area.
President Schmidt read Resolution 4-2024 at the public hearing; Town Attorney Lyndsey Ryan stated the Planning Commission had reviewed and adopted a recommending resolution. No public comment was received during the hearing. Commissioner Potter moved to adopt the resolution, Commissioner Chase seconded, and the adoption was approved unanimously.
The change integrates the town into the established management plan for the Stories of the Chesapeake Heritage Area and updates local planning documents accordingly.
