Morton District approves wide-ranging personnel changes and $12.4 million in education payroll

The J. Sterling Morton High School District 201 Board on Aug. 14 approved a broad consent agenda that included official payroll and a sweeping personnel report ahead of the 2024-25 year. The board recorded the education payroll at $12,376,896.67 and building payroll at $613,110.78 as part of the consent motion that carried with no recorded nays.
Superintendent Dr. Timothy Truesdale and Executive Director of Human Resources Randy Borgardt presented the personnel packet, which listed dozens of hires, transfers and coaching/club assignments. Appointments included William Hice as Special Education Coordinator at the Freshman Center and multiple new certified staff and security and food-service positions; several resignations and retirements were recorded as informational. The consent motion was moved by Member Jessica Jaramillo-Flores and seconded by Member Sandra Tomschin and was approved in roll-call form.
