Coach Mary Oldham told the Budget Committee the Oregon Dream Camp supports tumbling, stunting and team-building and that 16 cheerleaders are expected to attend this year (potentially up to 25 next year). The committee approved $2,000 to support the varsity team's camp participation. Oldham noted that aside from uniforms the team funds equipment through fundraising to keep participation accessible.
Gracie Loonie, the student body president, requested assistance to replace a 26-year-old hawk mascot costume and said $4,418 had already been raised; she listed a remaining balance of $2,582 and said Frontier Days pledged $358. The Committee approved $2,000 toward the mascot costume. The minutes note that if approved, city-disbursed funds would not be available until July 1, 2025.
