Committee hears safety fixes at archery range; cameras and fencing planned

A commissioner raised reports of vehicles and bonfires near trailheads and asked whether the city would expand fencing or parking improvements. Eric said the city is not installing additional fencing at the range but has placed fencing closer to entrance gates to reduce cow intrusions. He said the city has partnered with Avamore on cleanup efforts and that staff is "working with Avamore, on an effort to put some security cameras up there," both to monitor vandalism and to provide wildfire lookout capability.
Commissioners asked for follow-up on whether any additional donors or partners are contributing to parking or security improvements at Eagle-area trailheads, and requested a status update at a future meeting.
