Board approves 'Miss Peregrine' for English curriculum, staff request clearer selection guidance

Scott Wilson specifically said he did not want to approve literature with repeated profanity, which influenced the selection discussion.
The board’s action sets the approved text for use in the 2026–27 school year; teachers and curriculum staff will implement the selection in classrooms per district instructional guidelines.
