The Corning Union High School Board voted March 19 to award the Centennial High School sewer replacement and limited sidewalk work to Santos Excavating Inc., the low bidder. Board members reviewed bid totals and accepted the recommendation after a motion by Cody Lamb and a second from Jim Bingham.
The Santos Excavating total bid of $98,890 was lower than competing bids (SNL Group and Walberg Inc.). “There being no further questions, the Board voted unanimously to approve the bid,” the minutes state. The Board recorded the vote as unanimous among members present; work is expected to proceed according to the project's procurement timeline and bid documents.
