The La Pine Budget Committee approved a supplemental budget on May 14, 2025, to provide additional grant-funded capital spending for the Water and Wastewater Expansion Project after the work timeline extended into the current fiscal year.
Finance Director and Budget Officer Ashley Ivans told the committee that unforeseen extensions of the Water and Wastewater Expansion Project resulted in the Water Fund exceeding Capital Outlay appropriations and the Sewer Fund approaching its appropriation limit. To address that shortfall, the supplemental budget increases Grants revenue and matching Capital Expenditures in the Water Fund by $1,617,705 and in the Sewer Fund by $4,001,884. There were no public comments during the hearing.
Rachel Vickers moved to approve the supplemental budget and forward it to the City Council for ratification by resolution; Jeannine Earls seconded. The motion passed unanimously. The committee forwarded the item to the City Council for formal ratification.
