Commission reappoints members to Public Building and Solid Waste committees; new appointees sworn in

The Board approved a package of resolutions reappointing Martha Lindsner to the Sedgwick County Public Building Commission and taking up a set of Solid Waste Management Committee appointments and reappointments (Rich Hill, Tony Martinez, Ben Tucker, Nikki Soys as chair and others). Justin Wagner, county councilor, presented the items and recommended adopting the resolutions together because they were all related to the Solid Waste Management Committee.
"This item would be a resolution reappointing Martha Lindsner as Commissioner Wise's recommended appointment to the Sedgwick County Public Building Commission," Justin Wagner said. The board moved, seconded and approved the resolutions by roll call. Several appointees present stood and were administered the oath of office on the record; staff explained the clerk’s office would follow up with paperwork for those not present.
The actions formalize board recommendations for citizen and industry representation on county advisory bodies and ensure continued operation of the Solid Waste Management Committee and Public Building Commission.
