Agency reviews State Street beautification plans; ACHD review remains a bottleneck

The Chair said the agency spent months preparing the materials and forwarded them to the city planning contact and city engineer for review. Staff warned that ACHD timing is unpredictable and suggested a meeting with design-review staff to clarify the review path and fee responsibilities. "I don't believe on our part. We did everything we could," the Chair said, describing the multi-month coordination effort with ACHD.
Board members raised concerns about parking impacts downtown and a specific footnote on drainage calculations; staff said design-review and any required revisions will be presented to the board before construction.
