Council notes park parking closure, Coffee with a Cop; approves consent calendar

At the start of the meeting Mayor Wesseland announced two community items: Falls Park parking will be closed Thursday, Aug. 6 through Saturday, Aug. 8 to allow installation of a new pond bridge, and the Post Falls Police Department will host "Coffee with a Cop" at the Range Market in Pills Falls on Wednesday, Aug. 12 from 9:00–10:30 a.m., which staff said is an opportunity to meet the new police chief, Mark Bridal.
The council then considered the consent calendar—minutes from the July 21 meeting, payables for the period, the State Line Tower Site Bridal Plat, and designation of an acting city clerk. A motion to approve the consent calendar passed on roll call.
