Notus council adopts $896,125 FY 2024–25 budget

The Notus City Council approved its FY 2024–25 budget on Aug. 19, setting total revenues and expenditures at $896,125, with $291,895 for the General Fund, $162,900 for Water, $204,570 for Sewer, $42,703 for Sanitation and $194,057 for Streets. The council held a public hearing that drew no written testimony and no in-person speakers before taking the vote.
Councilman Devin Krasowski moved to approve the budget and Councilman Rob Hartsock seconded; the roll-call vote was unanimous. Mayor David Porterfield thanked staff for their work during the treasurer’s absence, saying, “Mayor thanked Staff for all the help with the budget as the City Treasurer has been out.” The council also moved, by separate motions, to suspend the three-reading requirement and to adopt Ordinance #482, the FY24-25 Budget Appropriations ordinance, allowing the appropriations to take effect on the schedule approved by the council.
