Notus council approves FY25 employee wage increases

Notus City Council unanimously approved wage increases for city employees at its Sept. 3 meeting. Mayor David Porterfield said the raises were included in the budget adopted last month; Councilman Devin Krasowski moved to approve the increases and Rob Hartsock seconded. The roll-call vote recorded Ahlborn, Hartsock, Krasowski and Connor as voting yes and the motion carried.
The approved adjustments raise the City Clerk and Treasurer pay by 5% to $16.38 per hour; Public Works wages by 5% to $19.95 per hour; and bring part-time employees and the librarian to $13.69 per hour. Council members did not attach conditions to the approval and described the action as implementation of the FY25 budget the council previously adopted.
