Chair Richard Varga described a proposed educational tree walk modeled after one in Beaufort, South Carolina, organized by the Beaufort Garden Club. Student member Olivia Pajak suggested measuring the total trail distance and adding distance markers so the main loop could be marketed as a mile-long walking loop; other members supported the idea and floated naming individual trails after local wildlife (for example, turkey or heron trails) to add interpretive character. Commissioners noted signage about bioswales and species would be a valuable long-term addition and encouraged compiling a plan to phase signage work.
