Board amends December minutes after public commenter says her remark was omitted

The board voted to amend Dec. 18, 2025 minutes to include Maryanne Shanholtz's public comment about the status of an ethics inquiry; the finance chair was to follow up with her.
Maryanne Shanholtz told the board her public comment from December had been omitted from the minutes approved in January and asked for the record to be corrected. Ferguson said he would bring a motion under old business to correct the minutes.
Later the Board voted on Feb. 19 to amend the Dec. 18, 2025 minutes to include that Shanholtz asked when she would be advised of results from an ethics inquiry she had filed with the County. The motion carried with one abstention (Earle). Chairman Witte noted the finance chair would speak with her.
