County to hire short-term CPA to clean up finance operations; commissioners set FY2027 priority planning

Deputy County Manager Michelle Jones supported the use of outside CPA expertise to deliver cleanup and oversight.
The Commission agreed to set budget priorities for FY2027 by asking each commissioner to submit 3–5 priority items; the County Manager will consolidate submissions and return a draft to the full board when Commissioner Jaramillo can participate. Commissioners requested clarity on the funding source for the CPA contract before final approval.
