Facilities staff reported the three rooftop heaters at High School North auditorium are failing; one unit currently operates but the other two need replacement. Staff estimated replacement would cost about $30,000 per unit for a total near $60,000 and said the lead time for the replacement units is roughly 12–14 weeks.
“That is the only 1 that is operational at the moment... I think it was about what about $60,000?... 30,000 per unit, to replace,” a facilities representative said. Staff said if the replacements are further delayed the district would need to provide temporary heating or relocate events and extracurricular activities; they noted the district could adapt by using other facilities while planning a capital or maintenance solution.
