The Village of Denton advanced Ordinance No. 26-2-2 on April 6, which sets revised monthly sewer service charges in three annual steps. The ordinance lists: May 1, 2026–April 30, 2027: $55.00 monthly service charge; May 1, 2027–April 30, 2028: $63.00; and May 1, 2028–April 30, 2029: $71.00.
At the meeting the board read the ordinance by title, approved the first reading and unanimously voted to waive the state statutory three-reading requirement. The ordinance text included a passage record in the meeting documents. The change follows a rate study presentation that identified operating costs and recommended rate adjustments to align revenue with system expenses.
