Commission Member Dave Morahan said he had toured the property and, drawing on his engineering background, found the structure to be in "significantly better condition than the developers had suggested." Morahan said the Commission believed the house was "very savable," that minor cleaning, painting and repairs could make it habitable in weeks, and that the developer’s presentation appeared to emphasize worst‑case conditions. The Commission asked Council to consider whether mechanisms exist to support preservation rather than demolition.
Council did not record a formal response or action on the matter in the meeting minutes; residents and the Commission were advised to continue the review process and to provide evidence during the public hearing process for any registry removal request.
