Late in the meeting, the committee moved and approved going into executive session to discuss the purchase of property for public purposes under Ohio law.
A council member formally invoked ORC in asking for executive session "pursuant to ORC 121.22 g to purchase of property for public purposes," and named attendees to include the mayor, StructurePoint representatives and the service director. Sherry Theis moved the executive session, a member seconded, and the chair called for a roll call.
The clerk called individual responses (recorded in the meeting transcript as affirmative), and the council left the chamber for the closed session. The meeting was scheduled to reconvene only to adjourn after the executive session.
