Reali announced the grant would cover 70% of a barnyard runoff control project, with the landowner responsible for the remaining 30%.
Motion by Hansen, seconded by McCann, to amend the 2026 budget to reflect the DATCP Engineering Reserve Fund grant; motion carried unanimously. Committee discussion noted this is a project-level cost-share arrangement rather than a department-wide recurring revenue stream, and members requested staff include cost-share documentation in the project file.
The amendment increases both expenditure and revenue lines for the department in 2026. Staff said they will report project implementation status and final costs in upcoming staff reports to the committee.
