Residents press board on park upkeep and volunteer help for Denton Daze

Members of the public used the May 4 public-comment period to press the board on volunteer coordination and park maintenance. Resident Gail Braunsroth sought volunteers for Denton Daze, scheduled for June 20; Missy Cherry asked for help with trash cleanup and removing volunteer trees; and Julie Stovall volunteered to serve on the playground committee but said she had not yet been contacted.
Resident Bill Edwards thanked trustees for their service and raised specific concerns about the exterior condition of the community center — including a mudhole at the entrance, a remaining tree stump and volunteer trees in the landscaping. Trustee Amanda Fangmeier said she has volunteered by pulling weeds and Trustee Doug Rosekrans asked Edwards to provide a list of concerns so the board can follow up.
