Public works reported problems with recent roadway striping after a contractor said blue paint failed to adhere to worn pavement. The village recorded an APMS bid of $8,415 to remove and replace decayed pavement and perform milling and replacement; separate cost estimates included $14,246 to restripe the roadway as configured and $1,877 to stripe the community center and post-office parking lots.
The board scheduled further discussion at a special meeting on May 21 to consider bids and next steps. No procurement award was recorded at the May 4 meeting; the clerk and public works were directed to provide details for the special meeting. Trustee follow-up included consulting the street engineer about possible load limits for village streets.
