Peekskill highlights park renovations, DePuy Park grant and new pavilion

Mayor Vivian McKenzie said the city completed major park projects and secured funding for additional improvements. “Dollars 1,300,000 completely reimagined the park,” she said of Pugsley Park, and she reported a $675,000 grant for a $1,350,000 Phase 2 project at DePuy Park for 2025.
McKenzie also unveiled plans for a new Civic Hub pavilion and shade structure to replace an aging gazebo in downtown. She said the design will improve accessibility and walkways while honoring the historic district and that construction will be scheduled to avoid interfering with summer outdoor dining.
