Commissioners confirm township and advisory board appointments, swear in appointees

The Sedgwick County Commission approved multiple appointments and reappointments during its Feb. 19 meeting, including township trustees and advisory board members.
The board adopted a resolution appointing Joe Mosher as Waco Township trustee and administered the oath of office. Justin Wagner, county counselor, presented the item and said the appointment filled a vacancy under state law. The commission also reappointed Jerry Myers to the Sedgwick County Advisory Council on Aging and Physical Disabilities and reappointed Peggy O'Donnell and Carolyn Walters to the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board; the clerk27s office will follow up to collect paperwork from members not present.
In other action the board appointed Ray Mann to the 1st District Citizens Advisory Board and reappointed Michael Mitchell to the 3rd District Citizens Advisory Board; Mann and Mitchell took the oath indicated on the record. The board thanked appointees for their willingness to serve.
