Dundee board hears budget boost as state approves $250 per pupil

The Dundee Community Schools Board of Education heard a finance update on July 13 that included a state-approved increase in per-pupil funding. Kim Worden reported that "the state has approved the budget of $250 per pupil, originally budgeted for $200 per pupil, which is in our favor." The board was told this change will be reflected in district planning.
Worden also said the 31aa funding has been split into two parts: one for mental health "which has no strings attached," and another for safety and security that will require legal clarification before the district determines permissible uses. The board was told the district’s budget audit begins Sept. 14 and that auditors will report findings to the board in November, providing a timeline for when details of the increased funding will be finalized.
