Commission members reviewed textual changes across multiple sections, including clarifications to Section 3100 (Site Design and Performance) to add "for Commercial and MultiUnit Housing Development," expanded applicability language in Section 1004 to include "Adjustment of boundary lines" and "merger of lots," and clarifications to the building footprint definition to note support by piers or a full foundation. The commission also proposed edits on signage limits in the Village Commercial district and a change allowing the Development Review Board to require security fencing rather than making such fencing automatic.
Pamela J. Spaulding said the changes should be accompanied by a report for mailings; "There is also a report that the Town Clerk is responsible for that is to ensure that all the ‘I’s and t’s are dotted and crossed," the minutes state. Heather Stephenson, a citizen who contributed notes, flagged misalignments between the Town Plan and Act 250 and suggested including maps and prior reports as required attachments to the bylaw packet.
Brent Bammarito moved to accept the proposed edits; Pamela Spaulding seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The commission voted to hold a public hearing on March 9 at 6:00 P.M. to solicit public comment on the revisions.
