Kylie Buttars of the Franklin County Hospital Foundation presented a $500 grant to the Preston recreation soccer program; the council accepted the donation during the consent calendar. Shalain Abrams, identified as Preston Recreation Soccer Director, was present to receive the grant.
Easton Fellows of Consolidated Irrigation requested funding for a verification station at Glendale Reservoir to support quagga mussel eradication efforts. Councilmember Terry Larson moved and Councilmember Chris Larsen seconded a $2,500 contribution to Consolidated Irrigation to fund the station; the motion received unanimous approval.
