At the board meeting Randy Butler of Derigo Engineering said the proposed subdivision keeps lots larger than typical mobile-home parks, noting "the Skowhegan's minimum size is 6,500 square feet" and that the proposed lots average roughly 13,000–20,000 square feet. He said the smallest lot on the current plan was about 6,655 sq ft (a typographical error was noted on the plan that will be corrected).
Butler told members he expects the fire chief will require a wider travel way than the existing 10–12-foot gravel road; he proposed 24 feet on the plan to provide margin above typical guidance. He also said the plan reserves an area for stormwater detention and that final drainage design and coordination with the road commissioner remain needed before final approval.
