Les Hauer described his experience using the NAU Educational Technology Consortium (ETC) for Synergy hosting and said ETC provides stronger Arizona-specific support, manages about 70% of Arizona districts, and offers improved backend features including CCR tracking. Hauer said a switch to ETC could be implemented right away and might provide more responsive support than EduPoint.
President Mango‑Paget said she had discussed costs with Director of Business Services Erin Tutay, who noted ETC would be somewhat more expensive but that support could be a significant compliance benefit. Tutay and Hauer said credits for FY25 payments (for EduPoint) could be included in a future contract; the board asked that contract details and cost offsets be brought back for review.
