The DeKalb County Drainage Board approved a development plan for a Dairy Queen “Chill and Grill” in Butler during its Aug. 6 meeting after staff and the applicant described revisions and drainage implications.
A Birch Frank representative said the updated plan widens the south drive to 30 feet to allow two-way access and future cross-access from adjacent property; the applicant will keep a counterclockwise internal drive. A staff member explained technical changes to drainage and said, “It did increase a little bit from 0.59 to 0.6.” The Chair moved to approve the plan with a favorable recommendation from the surveyor’s office; the motion passed by voice vote.
