Commission flags stormwater and runoff language for further technical review
Summary
Members asked staff to integrate stormwater/drainage considerations into the ordinance drafting and to invite a water/stormwater expert (Dave) to the next meeting to finalize relevant language and confirm whether requirements should be in the land-division ordinance or another code section.

Commissioners raised concerns about runoff and erosion tied to large new construction, saying the ordinance should at least require review of potential stormwater impacts for projects that could increase runoff (manufacturing pads, large impervious areas). The chair asked staff to coordinate with a stormwater expert (Dave) and with Land and Water review to determine whether standards should be placed in the land-division ordinance or referenced elsewhere.
Several members noted that some construction types may fall outside subdivision thresholds but still merit review for drainage and runoff effects. The commission agreed to invite Dave to the next meeting to provide technical input and to finalize recommended language or cross-references for erosion-control and stormwater management.
