The Harvey County Board of Commissioners handled routine business at its Sept. 30 meeting including approval of minutes and warrant checks. The board approved the Sept. 23 minutes (motion by Becky Reimer, second by Terry Scott) and approved warrant checks for Sept. 23 totaling $94,913.54 and for Sept. 30 totaling $149,101.36. Terry Scott moved to approve the Sept. 30 warrants; Becky Reimer seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
County Administrator Kevin Frymire said the commissioners will tour the Pine St. building next week. Commissioner Becky Reimer reported attending a Flood Risk Review meeting presented by the state's Floodplain Mapping Coordinator and said the state is seeking local feedback on proposed significant changes to floodplain areas; public comment will be requested later in the process. The commission also agreed earlier (Sept. 23 meeting) to reschedule the Nov. 11 meeting around the election canvass and Veterans Day observance.
